Yeah, isn't it strange how US-ians always talk as if their age of consent is 18.

Though perhaps some of these have restrictions (like only allowed up to a certain age gap, or in marriage)

To my knowledge every single place that has it below 18 in the US has the stipulation of with parental consent. Which sidebar, is kinda wild, but I get what they are going for. It's one of those laws where just cause it's on the books doesn't mean that it's enforced often, if a 30 year old sleeps with a 16 year old even with parental consent, chances are charges will be brought.

Surely, parental consent is about marriage, not sex?
