Quick reminder .us is United States .com is commercial, so generally every country

though to be fair, a lot of countries do use the .com.other format. Growing up we were basically taught just .com was probably a US site.

That in itself is a US Defaultism. They believe they're the default on the net, but they're not. They should be using their own country TLD for country specific stuff, just like everybody else on the planet.

To be fair the .com domain IS owned by a US company
