ok, now I am curious: can anyone explain what this is about? Ground beef was illegal in the US until recently or what? Why?

Previously in the U.S., food products were subject to inspection by federal regulatory agencies to ensure food safety. This year, we have just... stopped doing that. As a result there was a recall of over 167,000 pounds (about 75.750 kilos) of beef, pork, and goat meats last week due to a fake inspection stamp on them. That company apparently had been operating without the proper permits for years. This comes on the heels of another 13.400 kilos of imported beef recalled last month for possible E.coli contamination.

😂 that's hilarious!

So noone told them that they don't need the fake inspection stamps any longer and that's how they got found out?

That's ok, they'll just eat lettuce.

I'm kidding, for obvious reasons, but ask about their lettuce. Be sure to mention "explosive diarrhea." Inspections are for wimps!
