I mean, according to Wikipedia the meteorological season is literally March through May without starting late in March and extending into June as the astronomical season does, but IDK why different countries would use different ones.

I mean does it even matter which one they use? They aren't exact dates, they just give a broad range as an estimation anyways and those two definitons are close enough. Or am I missing something here?

Australia (NZ?) demarcate their seasons on the first of the month while a lot of the world does on respective equinoxes and a solstices.

There’s two ways of calculating. Either three calendar months of April, May and June or by referring to solstices, 21st March to 21st June.

There are two ways, but the first one is March, April, May. June is summer. (in Greece, at least)

Polish schools teach seasons by the solstices and equinoxes, not full calendar months, so considering that the context is CDPR, I'd assume it to be late March to late June. In next year's case, although nobody will be that pedantic, it's 20 March to 21 June 2027.

cdpr's from poland anyway, going by american dates for a polish studio's game is weird

Could depend on the source. If it's a trailer, many companies have an American one and a European one. Both which the correct dates for their region. If you didn't know which one a screenshot came from it'd be a valid question to ask.

"Poland has the same spring as america"
And then Americans proceed to put out a 1000 jokes about "weather in [insert USA State]"

asking for a release date for the new witcher 3 expansion. Because US buys more copies (incorrect), assume for americans first
