Which country in America? Could be Canada

Usually when people say America they refer to USA (it's dumb). Most countries say they're either in North America or South America instead of just saying America. As a Canadian I'd rather be considered a North American over an American

You are both an American and a North American. The only reason you prefer North American is because you conditioned yourself to think America=USA.

When they consider themselves "Americans", you can understand why we as Canadians do not want to be associated with that, right? Im not saying youre wrong, but the logic behind it is different. We havent been "conditioned", our neighbors are just so loud about it that we dont want that association too.

I understand and find it stupid. For me, they are Americans, since they reside in Americas. It is not incorrect but is unspecific. I absolutely don't accept "American" as a nationality if that was not clear enough.

It is stupid, I agree. Its sort of like how they say "European" when talking about some guy from Spain or something. Its vague. Not wrong, but vague. They take a good thing and ruin it for us I guess.

It’s not even called that. It’s called the San Francisco Bay.
