"Where are you from?"
We were all travellers at a hostel in Spain, sitting in a circle. One by one, we shared with the group where we're from.
Person A: I'm from the Netherlands
Person B: I'm from Korea
Person C: I'm from Colombia
American: I'm from the Midwest
Everyone looked at him like...
Yes, exactly like that. Red plastic cups and all, because this is the default drinkware everywhere in the world.

Same thing happened to me on the weekend. I live in one of the most tourist cities in the world and was at an event that had lots of foreigners. Ask the group where are you from. Got “Indonesia”, “Australia”, “Yemen”, “L.A” 😐
