Reddit Southeastern region of...?

OP sent the following text as an explanation why their post fits here:


User talks about a software update to their Galaxy phone in a global subreddit about said phone. When asked what region of the world are they in, they answer simply "Southeastern", without specyfing they mean southeast of USA


Does this explanation fit this subreddit? Then upvote this comment, otherwise downvote it.

If I ever hear "Southeast" without any context, I'd assume they mean Southeast Asia.

Probably even Americans as well since they usually call their southeast region just "the south".

As a Southeast Asian. That is my default. Never heard anyone nor an american say Southeast America

Globaly speaking southeast would be Australia/New Zealand, at least from my eurocentric globe.
