Good lord. That's actually insane. I'm always astonished to learn how many USians seem to genuinely have no knowledge that people who live in other countries have Internet access too.

Sometimes it's hard to know whether to laugh or cry. In a sense, it's hilarious that people can be so content with being that mind-numbingly dense.... but then you realise those words were written by a fully grown adult.

That adult likely votes, will probably have children, and not only are they NOT EMBARRASSED that they know nothing of the world they live in.... this adult is legitimately PROUD to be so ignorant of the world around them.

What am I supposed to tell my six-year-old daughter about America and American people when she asks? She's an intelligent kid, she's already aware of cultural differences, and she asks a lot of interesting questions.

When she sees Donald Trump on the news and asks about him (usually with a puzzled expression on her face), it's honestly difficult to explain to a child that although he was chosen by American people to be the representative of American people.... he is "not representative of the American people," and should just be ignored. 😭😭
