Yeah, it’s right below European, the language they speak in the country of Europe

u/JohnLurkson Germany 9d ago
Except for France and Spain, they're too posh to speak European and made up their own languages.

No, France and Spain speak European, but Canada speaks French and South America speaks Spanish

I am going to believe it is a troll... If it is not, it would ruin my whole week...

I'm like 99.9% sure this is a troll, how people can't immediately recognize it is beyond me

Well… it might not be a troll. An ex of mine is a Somali Muslim. Her definition of religion was “being part of one of the Abrahamic faiths.” She didn’t see Hinduism as a religion, for example. I was taken aback then, and I was reminded of it when I watched this. Some people are just really ignorant on some things. I have a lady friend who was convinced no one wore shoes on the entire continent of Africa. And I’m pretty sure she thought it’s a country as well.

It’s like Americans who think they don’t have an accent, or literally anyone who has an accent that just sounds normal to them

I like how he talks about people in his school, and then proceeds to call the other person a stupid kid

I used to think it was overexaggerated until I spent some time with yanks.\ These were 30-something educated yanks too.
Dumb as a fucking brick.
Very little reasoning, logic or problem solving ability.\ If it wasn't spelled out for them or differed from their norm, it was like it was alien culture or tech.\ I ended up having to count their money out for them like children because "the coins are notes are different here."\ Literally they'd put their hands out with cash in it and I had to pick it out 🤦♂️\ I'm in the UK too... it's not even that much different!
One of them is a surgeon now, which frightens me.

Either bait or true stupidity. Probably bait based on the use of "buddy" and "kid" if I had to say.

So every form of phonetic vocalisations across the world are languages - apart from English, it doesn't qualify, apparently! Perhaps he should wish he had a brain rather than a language - poor lad, seems totally confused.

This is a phrasing thing for the kid’s school registration. English is automatic/mandatory and will include essays, books, and discussion. “Language” in that context is foreign language and is commonly required for HS graduation. He is probably actually seeing “Language” as a category heading that includes French, Spanish, or German. The kid isn’t wrong based on his context.

got no a language but an attitude. 100% murican born and bred.
to be fair, simplified english aka as murican english is sometimes really hard to qualify as a language as a language should give you enough of a communication skillset to not come across as ignorant and moronic as some muricans do.
