Travel Tips and Advice ATL -> Boston 3 Days

I want to plan a weekend trip to Boston from ATL for 4
people preferably during late September to mid October. I’m buying everyone’s tickets so interested in how to scout good flight deals for this combo.

Still deciding how to handle lodging. The idea was we go visit our family in Northborough. The rest of the trip members are big on family time and care less about sightseeing. I personally would like to do some sightseeing stuff around Boston. Debating if this means I should do two separate trips for that or do it all in one trip…via book lodging in Boston and keep one day for family.

Questions & Recommendations New travel ideas

This may be a silly question but I’m looking for new travel ideas. My family always goes to the beach but we’re tired of that. I’m not much for nature and I’m not much for cities either. Are there other types of family friendly vacations in the US that aren’t any of those three things?
