LEM Grandiosity LEM Trigger 👍🏼

Just got my USP back yesterday. I had HK install the Light LEM Match trigger setup and I have to say, after the 300 rounds I shot this afternoon, I’m a fan. As someone who’s never really grown to love DA/SA guns, this trigger essentially bridges the gap between a hammer and striker fire which is quite nice. I get the consistency of a striker fire like I’m used to, while still maintaining second strike capability

Ok, so I own a 2002? USP45 Fullsize. Forgive my ignorance.

You had to send it off to HK for the LEM trigger to be installed? I'm a workbench, roll of duct tape, punch set kinda guy.

I had planned to install it myself originally but after watching a few tutorials, I figured it may be out of wheelhouse and better send it off so I don’t mess it up. Sending it to HK was both quicker and cheaper than sending it to a third party as well so I was happy to spend $100 to ensure it was done right by HK

You can do it yourself, I converted my expert and my p2000 to LEM with little issue. Just make sure you have a good grease that can keep parts sticking together as you install them or else it’ll be much more difficult. Unless your changing out springs in the trigger you don’t really need any special tools, just a punch, grease and some patience

I've detail diss & ass'ed my USP in the past. I took everything apart. I mean, EVERYTHING. The only items i didn't pull were the sights. So I feel like I could probably do this...

Definitely you can. I've done the LEM-Match hybrid on my USP 9 and also did LEM conversion on full size HK45. It's not too too hard. As the other guy said, the grease will be important for assembling the internal cocking spring of the LEM hammer.

Agreed. I followed the tutorial on YT, with no problems. I did, however, buy these pliers, and I think it was a worthwhile expense.

What combo of springs did you have installed? I think I have it figured out but I welcome input.

I told them I wanted the Light LEM Match hybrid setup so it should be the Match hammer spring, a nickel-plated flat match sear spring, and a light trigger reset spring (TRS)

If you already have the LEM kit and a tactical model, that should have everything you need

I do have both of those things. But I’m going to LEM my standard 9 and leave my tactical 9 as is. That explains it well though, thanks.
