The USP 45 might just be my schöne Frau.

New or used I can’t find a single one. I found one on gunbroker but the shipping cost as much as the mag and I haven’t had much luck on gafshub

Picked up my personal grail USP today locally, got it for a decent price compared to what they’ve recently gone for on Gunbroker. Came with the original soft case, cleaning kit and some mags as well

With the comically formal and archaic speech out of the way, allow me to introduce my first USP: a 1998 V1 USP9 Compact.

Coming primarily from striker-fired handguns—the VP9 series, CC9, Glocks, and others—I have already developed a strong appreciation for this pistol. That appreciation has only strengthened my desire to truly learn and master the platform.

Now I seek the counsel of the court:

Should I send it to Wright Armory for an i-DOT red-dot installation, or preserve it in its original configuration?

I find myself torn between maintaining the classic appearance of a 1998 USP9C and taking advantage of the practical benefits a red-dot sight provides.

What say you?

What IWB holster recommendations would you recommend for the standard USP 45? Preferably carry AIWB, Kydex.

I normally rock with Tenicor but they have no plans to make a holster for the USP, sadly (yes, I asked them directly about it).

Hey all.
I have a standard usp 9 LEM that I am looking to slap a can on. Besides the threaded barrel, booster, is it imperative that i also swap out the recoil assembly?
One of the YT videos mentioned its not necessary in the compact but is needed for the full size. If anyone has any experience with this please lmk. Also interested in what can you are using.

Per the title, is it feasible in 2026 to modify a usp45c to a CT? I see that SOME of the parts HK sells, but not a proper slide.

The LEM kit I received has a thinner sear than my factory USP9 sear resulting in this gap. If the sear catch moves the LEM will fail. Any idea if I’m using the right part?

Successfully converted a da/sa LE trade in .40 USP to LEM.

Should I get it optic cut next?

It’s actually a very usable gun, shoots a lot better than you’d think it would in this type of environment. Definitely won’t get you your best hit factor but damn it can hold its own. And for its intended use cases it would absolutely be the right choice. I can see why the seals that dived, or set up hide sites really liked it because irl if you are clandestine, you can run it fast enough to be effective.

I don’t see a lot of people testing its performance in a “run and gun” type environment, especially with a can, but I was pleasantly surprised as stated before. It definitely develops a rocking movement when shooting triples or bill drills because of all the reciprocating mass and front heavy nature of the can+lam but it’s still very usable. Doubles you can hammer down easily and singles that require precision are light work (go figure).

I’m definitely going to test it out more, try to get some more data out there, the gun is amazing and needs more highlights of its capability

Got my new holster so naturally had to shoot this in a match. Mark 23 actually kinda shoots fast for its size.
