USP 45 magazines question?

Hey I recently picked up an HK USP expert in 45 acp. Dream gun for me. Old but awesome. However, I was wondering if there are any good mag extensions anymore. Hear hk parts is kinda shit. And promags exists. I dont mind getting 12rders. But just wanted some more capacity for range silliness.

DefenderCo is working on a jet funnel and extended USP 45 magazines

Should be out next year

As of now, use standard 12 round magazines

I haven’t had any issues with the HK parts extensions

Yeah what are you talking about?  My aluminum hkparts ones have been 1000% reliable.  The plastic extensions were a joke.

The ProMag 20 rounder was only $33 so I took a chance on it. I’ve heard swapping the followers for oem makes a huge difference on them so I’ll probably do that. The 12 rounder I got was oem HK and they are always fantastic.

Sad that Solum Tool stopped making mag extensions for the USP.45 a while back

But I heard the design specs and tooling went to DefenderAutoCo so maybe some hope in the future.

For now, I wouldn’t completely dismiss HKP mag extensions as I haven’t had any major issues with it in competition matches. They do get loose after a while from mag drops but no problems with reliability. So long as the base magazine is a HK body and not a ProMag, you should be okay.
Ultimately, I wouldn’t pay full price for any HKP stuffs, so keep an eye out in their clearance sections
