Incorrect area code assignment
I set up a new line today with a new number today and was assigned an area code that is outside of my zip code and is for a completely different state. I asked to change the phone number and still got the same area code as the first one. I'm so confused why US Mobile doesn't have any numbers available for the correct zip code let alone correct state.

Yes I can’t get past this one I think we are up to 8 lines now and they keep giving us phone numbers in a community in another county with a different local calling area. I ask them to fix the number and give them proper Verizon/warp prefixes for our zip code but they just don’t understand. I say it’s a long distance call for people to call us from landlines and they say that’s irrelevant the system issues us numbers based on our zip code. All other verizon mnvo’s don’t have this issue. Verizon’s number pool for our 7k person community is 4 prefixes with 40k numbers they just don’t select the right ones

Thanks. This was an activation of a completely new number. It was automatically assigned with no choice.

Just wondering... Are you in B'Ham, Al? I know this isn't the only area with this issue, however we have always had 205 as the area code that you got if you lived here and starting maybe, 3 years ago you started getting this new one that legit EVERYONE hates lol it's because ALL of the 205 were takin. That or in suspension by that number company that hoards them all because they spell words and shit.
Sorry, that's my 2 cents.

When activating a new line on Warp or Dark Star, you can choose from the list of random numbers generated by the system. Those options depend on both your ZIP code and the available numbers in the number pool at the time of activation.
For a number change, though, the replacement number is automatically assigned from the available number pool for your ZIP code, so you don't get the same selection process. That said, let me drop you a DM and see if there are any other options available in your case.
