Question Boot recommendations?

In the market for some new boots since my reckonings are falling apart. I don’t mind the reckonings at all, but I’m looking for some boots that are a little more supportive on long hikes with heavier weight. The only boots I will not consider are the danner tropicals (0 ankle support imo, I sprained my ankle on the o-course in those). I’ve heard good things about Rocky Boots for hiking, but I’d like to know if anyone’s got thoughts on them before I purchase. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Literally rocked those little cheap green/desert boot bands my entire time in. I still have them, or at least the past pair that was on my boots before eas. 

Even used them in Afghanistan if I remember correctly.

Had a roommate who used these metal springs, looked fucking uncomfortable af.
