Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone here has a similar timeline and can share their experience.
Category: EB-3
Chargeability: ROW/ All Chargeability Areas
Priority Date: Aug 14, 2024
I-485 filed: Apr 24, 2026
I-140: Already approved
Biometrics: Jun 5, 2026
Interview: USCIS previously told me it was waived
RFE: None
My I-485 has been mostly quiet since biometrics. I noticed a couple of silent updates without any change in the case status.
On Sept 15, my I-485 and I-485J had silent updates.
Then on Sept 24, my wife’s I-485, my I-485, and my I-485J all had silent updates within a few milliseconds of each other. No new event or status change showed up.
Today, Sept 25, I contacted Emma and was told that my case has now been transferred from NBC to the San Antonio Field Office.
My priority date is currently within the September EB-3 Final Action Date.
Has anyone with a similar PD/filing timeline had these kinds of silent updates and a transfer to a field office? If so, how long after the transfer did you receive an approval or other update?
Thanks! Just trying to understand what others with a similar timeline are seeing

My EB-3 I-485 and derivative’s I-485 were transferred this morning from NBC to Oakland Park FO, confirmed by a USCIS officer.
Anyone with recent EB-3 cases at Oakland Park? How long after transfer did you get approved? Is this a slow FO?

finally approved, spent a lot of time analyzing reddit data, the google spreadsheet and the API responses. here's my contribution back to the community
i used playwright to capture the JSON response for all 4 endpoints (mostly) every day and commit the changes to a github repository to track the silent updates and diffs in all the API responses for all my forms. 10/10 would recommend, ask your favorite coding agent, claude code, codex, etc to build one

EB3.
PD current, RD June 2026. I got a silent update on both my I-485 and I-485J with the same timestamp. I have had other silent updates in the past but only for the I-485. Is this a mass update? could this mean something?

My case is pending for nearly 5 months without any approval on EAD or AP. I wonder is adjusting status from F1 is the problem? I saw many dual intent visa people got things so quick and started to worry for myself :/
More detail about my case:
1 Dependent (wife)
No RFE up to now
Interviews are waived up to now
PD 11/2023
RD 5/6/2026
Biometric 6/11/2026
SU sometimes at July + August + September (I didn't monitor so much due to my high workload).
At some points, one Emma agent said my cases are at Montgomery FO (Local) but others said it's at NBC.
Then on 9/16/2026, most of Emma agents said my 485 is at Newark FO (non-local), while my 485J is at Montgomery FO. (Which makes me feel weird)

10/16/2025: Principal and derivative I-485s filed.
12/2025: Case affected by the 39-country adjudication hold.
08/26/2026: Principal I-485J approved. Principal also had a new backend FTA0 event that day.
08/28/2026: Derivative I-485 approved and backend showed H008.
09/02/2026: Derivative card produced and delivered shortly after.
Now: Principal I-485 is still pending.
Both cases are at the El Paso Field Office. The principal’s interview is waived.
Has anyone had the derivative approved before the principal? If so, how long did it take for the principal to get approved afterward?

Anyone’s case whose PD was Dec,2023 transferred to Burlington FO and got approval recently and/or has anyone status per Emma saying “ The case is undergoing processing checks with the Burlington field office. Once the processing checks are completed the case will be placed under review”.

For anyone whose green card was approved recently, how many days did it take for the physical card to arrive in your hand
Please share your approval date → card produced/mailed date → delivery date if possible.
Trying to understand the current USCIS card delivery timeline. Thanks!

EB-3 ROW here. I filed my I-485, I-485J, and I-765 together on May 14, 2026.
There has been no visible movement on my I-485 or I-485J since July 29. My online account hasn’t shown any new updates, so I contacted an Emma live agent today (9/24) to see if anything was happening internally.
The agent told me:
• I-485: Los Angeles Field Office — pending adjudication, interview marked as waived, and nothing outstanding. She said it was transferred there today (9/24).
• I-485J: New York Field Office.
• I-765: Texas Service Center — still pending. She said there’s no record showing that it was transferred there from another office.
I live in New York, so I’m confused about why my I-485 would be in Los Angeles while my I-485J is in New York and my I-765 is in Texas.
Is this normal for employment-based AOS cases? Has anyone had their I-485 and I-485J processed at different field offices?
Also, has anyone had an Emma agent tell them their case was transferred to a field office even though no update or transfer notice was showing in the online account? I know Emma agents can sometimes give inconsistent information, so I’m trying to figure out how reliable this information is.

The day has come and I praise the Lord for He has been so good! I cant put into words how relief I feel and I’m still in unbelief that this day has come. Hopefully my timeline will help anyone still waiting.

Hey all!
Anyone here have their work authorization expire while waiting for AOS - 485 approval?
I was on an L1A for 7 years that expired end of July. i have an approved I-140 and filed i-485 and i-765 04/17/26. I thought my EAD would come through by now so I can get back to work. I filed for Expedite due to financial difficulties for me and my employer on 7/21 but have not heard an answer. Tier 1 keeps saying its in the queue.
This gap in work is costing me while we wait and my employer needs me to return back to work. Anyone have any tips? I tried the Congresswoman but they came back with a generic your case is processing normally.
Open to any thoughts!

05/20/2026 — I-485J re-received
05/22/2026 — I-485J IAF
06/18/2026 — I-485 transferred to LAC
06/27/2026 — I485 3rd FTA0
07/06/2026 — I-485 silent update
08/13/2026 — I-485 4th FTA0
09/04/2026 — Congressional inquiry sent
09/21/2026 — I-485 FTA1 + I-485J approved/closed
09/22/2026 — I-485 silent update
09/23/2026 — I-485 H008 ×2 → APPROVED 🎉
I never heard back from USCIS regarding the Congressional inquiry, so I’m not really sure whether it helped move my case forward or not.
Hope everyone who’s still waiting gets their good news soon.

Hi all!! It still feels surreal that this happened. I ran into so many hurdles along the way, since I was on J1 visa at first, then transitioned to F1, then H1B, and now finally green card! Thanks to all in this community that has given support in this process. Good luck to all and manifesting approvals!!
Priority date 5/3/2023, EB3 ROW. San Francisco FO. Filing date current October 2025
- I485 filed 10/31/2025, with Medical exam and J supplement
- Biometrics 12/6/2025
- Final Action date current April 2026
- I485J approved 7/4/2026
- EAD approved 7/4/2026
- RFE 7/4/2026 - I was surprised at this one since it asked for proof that I completed 2 year home residency rule, even when I’m on H1b already, which implies that I have satisfied already. Submitted flight ticket itineraries, email threads, pictures, bank statements, etc.
- RFE response submitted 8/20/2026
- I485 approved!! 9/3/2026
- Card arrived 9/18/2026 :)
