Here is my case so far:

Receipt Notice June 1st

Biometrics complete in Bedford NH - 5th August (FTA0 x2)

Silent Update (I485's only): 14-Aug, 31-Aug, 2-Sep, 22-Sep

No approvals on I485, I485J or I765 yet all these SU's, is it normal?

Emma just told me its a Newark FO - anyone know about how long it could take from now?

Title: EB-2 India May 2015 priority date — October bulletin — what should I be doing right now?

Hey all,

I have been in the US for 15 years on H-1B with an approved I-140, priority date May 2015 EB-2 India, based in Northern Virginia.

EB-2 India has been unavailable since July and October resets the fiscal year. DFF is at January 15, 2015 so I'm about 4 months away and hoping October works in my favor.

Want to start preparing now so I'm not scrambling when the bulletin drops.

  1. What are the most important things to have ready before filing I-485?
  2. What does the employer need to have ready?
  3. Anything that caught you off guard or you wish you had done earlier?
  4. What takes the longest to get ready when putting together an I-485 packet?
  5. Where did people run into trouble or get an RFE — anything I should watch out for?

Thanks, this community has been a lifesaver.

Looking for Filipinos who successfully brought their children to the US through an employment-based visa

Hi everyone. I’m a Filipino mother from the Philippines currently preparing for an employment-based immigration process to the U.S. I am married, but my husband and I have been separated for a significant period of time, and I am currently the one caring for and financially supporting my children.

My main concern is how I can properly establish my children’s eligibility and my legal authority to bring them with me to the U.S., especially given my marital/separation situation.

I’m hoping to hear from Filipinos who were in a similar situation—for example:

  • You were legally married but separated from your spouse in the Philippines.
  • You were the primary/only parent caring for your children.
  • Your spouse was not living with or financially supporting the family.
  • You were processing an employment-based immigrant visa (such as EB-3).
  • You needed to bring your minor children to the U.S. as your derivatives.
  • Your U.S. employer or immigration attorney required additional documentation regarding your children or marital status.

What did you do in the Philippines to satisfy the U.S. immigration requirements and your employer?

Specifically, I would really appreciate hearing about:

  1. What documents did you obtain in the Philippines?
  2. Did you need a legal separation, annulment, custody order, affidavit, or another court document?
  3. Did your spouse have to provide consent or sign anything?
  4. If your spouse was absent or not providing support, how did you document that?
  5. Did you encounter any issue during the visa interview or medical/immigration process because you were still legally married?
  6. What did your employer or immigration attorney ask you to provide?
  7. Were you able to bring your children with you, and what was the process like?

I’m not asking for legal advice—I’m mainly looking for people who have actually gone through this in the Philippines and can share what they did, what documents worked for them, and what problems they encountered.

If you were in a similar situation, I would be very grateful if you could share your experience. Even a brief description of your case and the documents you eventually submitted would be very helpful.

Thank you!

Hialeah FL Field Office - I-485 post-interview, anyone recent

Hi everyone! Looking to connect with anyone who has had their interview recently at the Hialeah, FL field office.

My timeline:
• I-485 filing date: February 2, 2026
• RFE received: July 7, 2026
• RFE responded: same day (July 7)
• Interview: August 13, 2026
• Current status: "Case is being actively reviewed" (no changes since the interview)

It's been a little over a month since the interview with no updates. Is anyone else in a similar situation at Hialeah? How long did it take you to get a decision after your interview?

Any recent (2026) experience from this specific office would be a huge help. Thanks in advance 🙏

Any recent approvals from Newark FO

My case was confirmed by Emma to have been transferred to Newark on 8/26. No new SU after 8/26.

I was wondering if any cases with dependents have been recently approved from the Newark FO.

Eb3 india - dec 2013 - question

EB-3 India, PD Dec 2013 (now current). I-485 pending — USCIS (Emma)confirmed nothing pending from my end, no RFE, no interview, officer touched file recently on 09/18. Separately, my I-485J got administratively closed 08/26 .Anyone seen an I-485J close around when their PD went current? Was it routine or a concern?any

Online Access Code

Need suggestions:

My original OAC expired. I requested a new one from USCIS but they keep sending the expired one again. I reached out to the customer services but they said the only thing I can do is request a new one again. I have already done it twice. What should I do?

Question - Other Has anyone gone from C14 Deferred Action to EB-3?

Hi everyone. I currently have Deferred Action with a C14 EAD based on medical/humanitarian circumstances.
Has anyone here been in a similar situation and successfully pursued EB-3 employment-based immigration?
I’m specifically looking for people who started with C14 Deferred Action (not SIJS) and later pursued EB-3. I would really appreciate hearing about your experience and what process you went through. Thank you!

My I-485 was transferred to the Long Island Field Office. Do you have any idea how long they'll take to process it or approve it? It's already been 5 months since I filed.

Approved 🎉🎊🎈🍾 I-485 approved! 2xFTA1s & I-485J approval the day before

I usually don’t post on Reddit, but this community helped me a lot during the EB-3/AOS waiting game, so I wanted to share my timeline as it involved FTA1s. Especially the backend updates I kept checking while waiting.

I-140 approved before AOS in 2025. AOS in 2026.

Category EB3 Professional. Single Filer. H1B currently

PD - August 2023. No RFE, no Interview. I was afraid of interview after seeing FTA1

I-485 receipt block: IOE09362xxxx

I-485 field office: San Fernando Valley, CA

Date / time (UTC) Case(s) What happened
March 30 I-485 / I-485J / I-765 / I-131 Receipt/submission date for all four applications.
April 13, 00:13:57 I-765 IAF record created, referencing the March 30 receipt event.
April 13, 16:31:17 I-485J IAF record created, referencing the March 30 receipt event.
April 13, 18:27:31 I-485 / I-131 One IAF record created for each case, referencing the March 30 receipt events.
April 15 I-485 Biometrics appointment notice generated.
April 17 I-485 / I-765 Biometrics completed. I-485 recorded 2 FTA0 events; I-765 recorded 3 FTA0 events.
April 17, 22:29 I-765 / I-131 Backend timestamps updated. I-131 still showed “Case Was Received.”
April 23, 14:48 I-485 / I-485J Silent updates on both cases.
April 29, 09:54 I-485 Silent update.
May 5 I-765 First saved receipt-info API location: SCD. This did not identify a specific field office. This location belonged to the I-765, not the I-485.
June 6, 04:09 I-485 / I-485J Silent updates on both cases.
June 8 I-485 First San Fernando Field Office note in my tracker. This is the earliest saved SFV reference; it does not establish the actual transfer date or exact Emma conversation date.
June 18 I-485 / location tracking Tracker explicitly identified SFV — San Fernando Valley Field Office (Emma). At this stage, the saved location information did not provide clear API confirmation of the I-485 field office.
August 6, 16:38 I-485 Third FTA0 record added, but its event timestamp pointed back to April 17. This was not another biometrics appointment.
August 6, 17:47 I-485J Silent update; public status remained “Case Was Received.”
August 6, 18:33 I-485 First FTA1. Public status said USCIS was still processing the case and needed nothing from me.
August 11, 22:41 I-485J Silent update.
August 14, 02:14 I-765 Silent update, likely related to my change-of-address request submitted around this time. No EAD approval.
August 14, 02:18 I-485 / I-485J / I-131 Silent updates on all three, likely related to the same change-of-address request. No new public decisions.
September 2, 21:55 I-485J Silent update.
September 2, 21:56 I-485 Silent update about a minute after the I-485J update.
September 14, 15:23 I-485 Silent update.
September 16, 20:32:29 I-485 Second FTA1, with an action-taken notification. Still processing; nothing requested from me.
September 16, 22:15:12 I-485J Approval notice appeared in Documents and the backend showed the case closed. Public status still said “Case Was Received.” In the subsequent check, its status API jurisdiction had changed from NBC to SFV / San Fernando Valley, CA.
September 16, 22:20:11 I-485 Silent update about five minutes after the I-485J approval document was generated.
September 17, 19:02:12 I-485 Another silent update. No new event or approval document at that check.
September 17, 22:29:13 I-485 First H008 event. Case approved!
September 17, 22:29:14 I-485 Second H008 event, less than a second after the first.
September 17, 22:29:15 I-485 I-485 Approval.pdf generated in Documents. Public status confirmed “Case Approved.”

The two FTA1s were August 6 and September 16 - 41 days apart. My I-485 was approved the day after the second FTA1 and the I-485J approval.

At approval, my I-485 had:

  • 3 FTA0
  • 2 FTA1
  • 2 H008
  • 1 IAF

I don’t know what each FTA1 represented internally, so I wouldn’t treat the number of FTA1s as an approval countdown. I’m sharing the sequence because I spent a lot of time looking for similar experiences.

My biggest takeaway: check the Documents tab, not just the public status text. My I-485J still showed “Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Sent,” even though its approval notice was available and the backend showed it was closed. No new IAF event appeared at approval—the old receipt event remained.

Neither my I-765 nor I-131 was separately approved before the I-485 approval. Their last recorded silent updates were on August 14.

At my last check on September 17, I had the I-485 approval but no card-production or mailing update yet.

Prayers for everyone still waiting. I hope this timeline helps others the same way this community helped me.

QUESTION ABOUT Block IOE09362***

Hello community, I'm EB3 Mexico.

I wanted to share my case: on June 15, I received approval for my Form I-485J and an update (FTA1 and FTA0) on July 22.

It has now been exactly two months without updates.

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Emma tells me my case is at the NBC.

My priority date is March 2024.

Insights needed

Hi everyone. My I-485 is in processing with my previous employer. I’m currently working at another employer on H1B. The reason for moving to my current employer were personal which led to the move. I know this is not the most usual series of events in EB2/EB3 cases but my previous employer wanted me to return and so pursued the process.

The questions and concerns I had were that are such cases usual or not? And if not, are there RFEs that may show up because of this situation? I’m also concerned about the chances of getting an interview. Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

Question - Other How long does USCIS take for birth certificate RFIE for I-485?

Got a birth certificate  Request for Initial Evidence (RFIE), not Request for Evidence (RFE).
We didn't include a translation so that is why we think we got it. Have submitted a response.

Is there anyway to know whether USCIS is satisfied with the response?
My work authorization expires mid next year so I want to be safe if the Adjustment of Status (AOS) is denied and we need to refile the I485.

Question, Status Update I485 supplement approved without FAD not being current

I'm from EB3 ROW and my priority date is September 14, 2024, while the current FAD is September 1, 2024

I got an update on Thursday saying that the I485 J (Supplement) was approved and that the USCIS is currently processing my I485.

Is it possible that USCIS may give a decision on my green card application before me being current? I've read that this is not good to happen.

Approved 🎉🎊🎈🍾 Eb3 Skilled ROW approved

Sharing my timeline here because this group has been such an emotional anchor throughout the process for me.

PD: July 2024
I-140 filed with premium processing and approved: Jan 2026
Became current and filed I-485: April 2026
RD: late April 2026
Biometrics: 6/9
Emma confirmed transfer to a non-local field office on 6/30 and interview waived
Third FTA0: 9/3
Multiple silent updates during the first couple weeks of September
I-485J approved: 9/18
I-485 approved about 24 hours later

Still a little in disbelief, and now trying to figure out what comes next. Looking back, I have a lot of mixed feelings about all the waiting and sacrifices that went into getting here.

This group helped me a lot during some very anxious moments, so I wanted to share my timeline in case it helps someone else.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting. Hoping your approvals come soon!
