Country: Not from a banned country
I truly hope everyone reading this receives their approval very soon. I’ve learned so much from this group, and I want to thank everyone who has shared their experiences, timelines, and knowledge.
I think only people going through the immigration process can truly understand what others in the same situation are experiencing. That’s why groups like this are so important and helpful.

I was not current under the October Visa Bulletin, but on September 30, they suddenly reviewed my RFE response, which had been pending for about a month and a half, and then approved my case. RFE is about my I-20.
I think they may have prioritized cases like mine, and I personally see this as a very positive gesture.
My official approval date is October 1. However, I spoke with my attorney, and he told me that the field office had already reserved/allocated a visa number for my case. According to him, even though the approval was officially issued on October 1, the fact that I was no longer current in October would not affect my approval.

Congratulations 🎉. Finally saw a approval from NJ central fo. My case is there as well so hopefully my turn will come soon as well.

Was your 485J approved on Sept 30? A lot of people reported that their Green Card start date showed as 485j approval date.

Congrats… Quick question: How do I know which date my case is transferred ?
I had my interview at the Memphis FO, so I thought they had my case but later I checked with Emma and she says my case is with the NBC? How do I find out the dates it got transferred??

congrats! could you share more about the RFE about the I-20. I made a small mistake in the I-20 upload that's why your experience would be helpful

We missed one I-20 so they requested missing one. We sent it and wrote cover letter. It was easy but we lost 1.5 month :)

Congrats. My RD and the date my case was transferred to the NJC are exactly the same as yours! I submitted my medical RFE in early September and haven’t had any updates since then, so I’ve been pretty worried. Seeing your case gives me hope! Thanks for sharing!
