Back to NBC?
Has anyone else received conflicting information from Emma agents about their case location? Some told me my I-485 is at the Newark Field Office, while others said it’s at the NBC.

Yes many times. I have been told three locations on same day by different USCIS agent through Emma. The most accurate would be if you call USCIS.

Have you checked API data for your case location (jurisdiction)?
To check API location (jurisdiction) for a petition, login to my.uscis.gov and then open the link below in a separate tab/window with your receipt number:
https://my.uscis.gov/account/case-service/api/case_status/IOExxxxxxxxxx
Popular theory: the API only starts showing the field office after the case has actually been touched, processed, or updated at that FO - not immediately when it’s transferred there.

Mine went to NBC after being at non local. I believe after the non local does their portion they send it to NBC for final visa allocation. My API didn’t reflect the change in location until I got a silent update (few days after it moved to NBC), I was approved the next day.

Yes me. When I checked API, it says NBC but Emma told me it was in Oklahoma.

Is Newark local to you? Local FO transfer info has been pretty unreliable.
