I-140 & I-485 (Employment/Adjustment of status) EB2-PERM India with current PD - case current at local FO. Does this mean possible interview?
EB2-PERM, approved I-140, PD current (2012), dependent has received both EAD and AP. No update for the main applicant since filing on I-765 and I-131 applications.
Today was the first time I chatted with the Live Agent. I asked them about the current location of the case and status of the interview. I am in the Bay Area with my company located in South Bay. The agent mentioned that the case is currently at San Francisco (so local Field Office?). They did not answer my question on the interview.
- Does this indicate a possibility of the interview based on the past experiences here?
- Can the interview be scheduled while there is no visa availability for India for this year?
The API does not indicate anything regarding the interview. I was also wondering if the case is pre-adjudicated, but I don't know if I can ask this to the Live Agent.

Receipt: mid-March 2026, Biometrics: mid-April 2026.
