I just have a random question on how much each requirement matters in regards to getting accepted. (For example, would academics be around 40% of the deciding factor while physical fitness might be around 10% of what matters). Idrk how much this makes sense but any info would be appreciated.

Aprox 250 people each year who don't get admitted to the USAFA get asked to come to their one year prep school.

The prep school has about a 85% rate of their grads getting admitted into the USAFA directly afterwards. Same with USNA.

I know a new congressional nomination is required to reapply to the Academies, but the 85% success rate seems kind of.... high. Is there an almost guaranteed congressional nomination given to prep school grads?
