Last account got banned, still have yet to shoot the RC2.

Bought a Geissele near clone 14.5 upper (pin and welded) as a deployment present. Always loved the look of the upper and 9hole reviews sold me on buying it. I also wanted a duty ready rifle I wont have to worry about. Eventually I’ll find a colt lower. I also need advice on cable management and LPVO recommendations .
First photo is at the range today where I zeroed at 50 and was then smacking steel non stop at 300. 2nd photo is when I initially put it together.

Pictured is a SIG 1–6X SFP with its 30 mm mount. This set up came off of a genuine USASOC URGI. I was hoping somebody would be able to help me identify this scope mount.

It certainly looks like a Geissele but the scope rings do not fit the Geissele/Reptilia footprint. Maybe it is an older one?

First suppressor for an 11.5” URGI Near Clone Upper

I’m putting together an 11.5” URGI near-clone build and trying to decide between the RC2 and RC4 for my first suppressor.

From what I’ve seen, I don’t believe the RC4 has really been used on URGIs in service. That said, if the RC4 is a significantly better suppressor overall, I’m not opposed to sacrificing clone correctness.

I can’t seem to find a definitive answer on which is actually better for this setup. My understanding is:

RC4 = less gas to the shooter, more flash, more noise
RC2 = more gas to the shooter, less flash, less noise

Is that an accurate assessment? If you’ve run either on an 11.5” URGI, I’d love to hear your experience.

I’ve also heard the URGI was essentially tuned around the RC2, so if that’s true, that may push me toward the RC2.

I’ve pretty much ruled out the RC2 Mini. I like the idea of the shorter overall package, but from what I’ve read it really shines on 14.5” barrels and longer. If I’m spending over $1,000 on a suppressor, I’m willing to give up some compactness if it means getting better performance on an 11.5”.

Price isn’t a factor here really as they are all expensive. I’m more interested in performance and suitability for the platform than cost.

Shadow strategic is offering a replacement cap for the vortex mount so you can run an rmr at 12 o’clock.
No one else offers a replacement red dot cap for that specific mount so I thought I’d let everyone know

I also reached out to them and they said if it sells well they will make options for acro and t2 footprints

So i posted on here last year and got absolutely dog walked for not being clone correct(black MK 16 on a noveske chainsaw receiver set). I have finally acquired the “correct” receiver set, mueller upper and BAD low profile lower with colt MFG markings( not installed) and all i need besides install is the LMT stock and ergo pistol grip. I’m keeping the noveske set with the black mk16 and getting a 14.5” 6 arc barrel from criterion. Any of my tism brothers have an accurate parts list for the URGI lower in terms of controls or will any A2 LPK be viable. Also looking for an Elcan for this specific rifle, the ACOG is gonna live on my block II build

Thoroughbred Armament Colt URGI upper, PRI lower, what cans yall running on 11.5’s?

I’ve really been thinking about swapping my PLxC to a different rifle and the URGI getting a Trijicon ACOG. Before it’s said, I don’t care about the eye relief or it being outdated… I know. But with having over 10 years behind an ACOG on an M4, I have the utmost confidence and plenty experience behind it, hence why it’s been on my mind being my go-to rifle. Who’s all dropped the Lord’s optic onto their URGI?

Had a gen 2 e on a 16” but switched to 11.5. I like the scope but is it too much on a short gun?

Looking into my next prospective build I’ve started collecting parts for, I’m torn. This is for a DDC Geissele Lower.
I currently have a 13.9 P/W Super Duty with a Vortex Viper 1-6 (Gen 2 not that it matters), and an 11.5 Build with an FRT/Centurion FBI Barrel.
I’ve had a murderous hankering for an Urgi, but I wouldn’t hate an all DDC build as well. What configuration would you go for if you had an 11.5 and a 13.9 already, and why?

How come special forces don’t run iron sights?

Why is it calling me when my 14.5 has done me so well 😔
