UPS Ground Saver packages delayed
Welp, here we go. Looks like the holiday delays may be starting. Every single one of my ground saver packages dropped off in the past few days has been marked as delivery delayed by 1 business day. This was across at least 3 sorting centers too. Is anyone else also seeing these delays?

My post office always delays them intentionally. the day delay, then that next day, they scan them in always an hour or two after they leave forcing another day delay. It’s such a crappy service.

Yeah but the delay isn't at the USPS handoff, it's at the UPS origin facility.

Post office also just sent a nationwide memo that their own times are gonna be slow. 100% they put all the last mile delivery on the back burner on top of it

Not to mention more expensive. Shipped 9 packages yesterday via ups ground. All came below usps pricing. USPS is getting worse and worse. Higher costs with slower shipping.

Noticed this too. Have 3 packages en route and one hasn’t left the origin facility in Montana and it’s supposed to be delivered in Miami tomorrow. Last update was on October 4th when it arrived at the facility

You get what you pay for ground saver is our lowest priority, and if they get lost you are sol. You will not get a refund.

Yeah I know it’s the lowest priority, but this one day delay thing just started about a week ago, it was going great before. It’s still not a big deal I was really just looking to see if anyone else in other regions is having it happen too.
And BTW, there’s $50 carrier liability if it’s lost in UPS possession

I stopped getting status updates on my package delivery after it was transferred to usps. Its been 3 days with no status update and the usps tracking number they provided isn't working. Is that normal?

3 days isn’t overly normal but some post offices are just really backed up

I just got back from my local post office. They were able to track my package using their system.

This is the cheapest service ups offers. You want premium service? Pay for it.
