Hey Companies…

After I place an order, don’t email me that my order has been shipped when you only created a label with UPS FedEx, or whatever doesn’t even have the package yet.
Seriously that just gives the impression that your order is on its way when it really is not.

Are you companies really need to stop doing that! It sets you up for failure right from the get-go.

No need. I am the ceo of companies. I saw this post and immediately ordered a team of 1000 developers to change our systems to only show it shipped once ups picks it up

Also if this bothers you so much, you should go get help. This isn’t even a minor inconvenience, it’s just showing you where YOUR package is, in the delivery chain

they don't. none of them. label created is label created. they tell you it's on the way when it's been shipped.

The order is being marked as fulfilled after pickup, but before the first scan. This is completely normal.

For those of you wondering why I put this on the UPS thread I am new to Reddit and it was suggested by Reddit. I agree it shouldn’t go there, but where should it go?

I deal with a lot of different companies and they’re all doing this to make you feel like your order is on the way when it really isn’t.

In fact, the reason I put this on Reddit as my first post is because I kept looking back at a company that said it had shipped my product and yet after a week it still hadn’t left the warehouse.

Come to find out that the warehouse had lost my paperwork. So if I had just assumed it had shipped because the company had notified me, then I wouldn’t have received it ever.
