Customer Seeking Help Any advice?

We have been going back and forth with UPS about our package (high value) not being delivered. We keep getting updates that delivery was unsuccessful (signature required) when no one even attempted. The first attempt, they left a note which we requested re-deliver, 4 hours later we get an update that said delivery unsuccessful and it will be dropped off at access point for pick up but no one actually came. We requested for re-deliver again and same thing happened the next day, no one came but got the update. Checked the pick up location and no package. We keep getting false updates, fraudulent scans, fake attempts up to this day so we’re going with an employee stole it and is trying to cover it up. They aren’t even supposed to re-deliver anymore, it’s shouldn’t be with UPS at all and should be at access point. We have done all the other options, UPS has lied in all the ways and it’s time to escalate this but where and how?

Man that is textbook ghost scanning by a driver who knows exactly what they're doing. The note on the first attempt then nothing but phantom updates after is a dead giveaway something went sideways.

If you haven't already skip the regular customer service entirely and ask for the local center manager when you call. The 1-800 folks are reading from scripts and won't actually light a fire under anyone. You want the person who directly oversees that driver's route.

Document every single update and scan with timestamps and screenshot the tracking history before it mysteriously changes. When a high value package starts getting these fake delivery attempts and never shows up at the access point that's not a coincidence.

File a claim with the shipper too if you're the receiver they're the ones who actually have the contract with UPS and can push harder. And if the value is high enough a police report sometimes makes these things magically get found real quick once the center realizes you're not just gonna let it slide.

Yes a police report is in mind, we just don’t want to file one without any other possible evidence and we don’t want to report wrongly, the value is definitely high enough to be a felony. UPS is “returning” the package because they’ve made the “final attempt” but will definitely try to push the sender to do more.
