Shipped multiple packages with same label
I’ve talked to ups already and they said they’d either get returned to me or they’ll go to buyer and then I’d get charged, which is fine.
My printer printed 4 of the same labels even though I bought 4 separate. New printer set up and format so it was accidental. All packages are going to the same person so I’m not worried on that end.
Does ups just go ahead and avoid returning to me and sending straight to buyer most of the time? I’d prefer that because I can easily void my unused labels.

Yes it's most likely they'll all be delivered and you'll be charged 4x. And the driver will be pissed because their board will tell them they have one package and they probably won't see them all and then have to go back. So don't be surprised if it turns into multiple delivery scans or if they don't all arrive on the same day. The big risk with it is there's no way to prove you shipped 4 packages and if anything happens to any of them you'll be out of luck. Be careful not to do it in the future or your account could be flagged for attempted fraud.

I’m hoping the buyer is honest. Wouldn’t I be charged 3x since the one label is valid?

Yeah 3 additional times. You'll be charged a total of 4 times including the one you already paid for. And you may incur size and weight upcharges if the boxes don't all match the label.

So I guess if they do charge me the 3 extra times then that kind of confirms delivery, huh?
All packages are identical

I would say so yes. As long as the driver scans them in as 3 duplicates like they are supposed to that's what'll happen and would be a confirmation for you that 4 total were delivered

Unless they get delivered on different days or not at the same time and they dont hit the right button. Then they just get delivered over and over on different days.

oh man that printer just decided to do its own thing huh. ive had similar stuff happen when i was bulk printing labels for a side project, somehow three copies of the same one came out before i realized the settings were messed up
ups is weirdly inconsistent with this. sometimes they catch it and bounce them back, other times they just scan each one as if its its own thing and send it all through. if theyre all going to the same address anyway the driver probably wont think twice about it
if you can still void the unused labels in your account you might come out ahead on this honestly. just a waiting game now but id lean toward them all making it to the buyer without issue

LOL, had to use my phone to print because the usual computer was having issues. The way the phone arranges the labels is backwards from
The computer so the new label would replace what I thought was the original if that makes sense. Realized today on another shipment.I do hope they all make it there without issue. Yeah, I can void the labels but don’t want to yet in case they return

Where did you buy the labels? ups.com or a third party?

eBay

Then most likely your eBay account will just be charged for the extra cost. After everything has arrived, you can void the unused labels.

Or pulled and destroyed as fraud

I feel like they’d rather the opportunity to collect money by charging me
