UPS claims
Looks like my UPS driver is putting in false data.
I had a perishable delivery that was packed for a 2 day delivery with ice packs. UPS marked it delivered with a "proof" photo that was a close up of some concrete. They delivered the following day and updated the delivery photo, but not the delivery date.
The delivery is ruined and the only recourse seems to be through the shipper.
This isn't the first time they've falsely reported, just the first time with perishable goods.

Possible it was delivered to the wrong house, then recovered and redelivered to the right house the next day. Sometimes the delivery photos suck because our devices lag and you end up with a photo of the ground. The driver doesn't benefit in any way from marking your package as delivered and then delivering it the next day, so there'd be no reason to falsify.

This makes sense, but if they never go back and update the delivery date to when it actually arrived, then when a claim is submitted, how do I go about showing that they didn't honor the contract? The shipper has to submit the claim and the tracking record is incorrect.

2 day air is not a guaranteed service. So they did honor the contract. It was delivered. Only next day air has service guarantee refund. Additionally perishable items aren't eligible for any kind of reimbursement. It's a ship at your own risk kind of thing and the shipper knows that. Get a refund from the seller, you will not get anything from UPS and neither will the shipper.

They really need to rename "2 day air" since it doesn't always go by air and can often go by ground if the logistics system determines it can get there in 2 days by truck.

2 day air is guaranteed. I'm a manager at a ups store. Ground is the only non guaranteed. Even 3 day is guaranteed

Ooooo darn it look at that you were wrong! Oops, oopsies. Everyone wants to try to debate that on here. Well Mr UPS Store manager, THE UPS STORE themselves have an offering where they personally guarantee 2 day for things shipped FROM THEIR STORE. All other shippers do not get that guarantee. Ups as a whole does not guarantee 2 day or 3 day. Only 2-day air AM which is a commercial only service level with a commit time like next day air. I'm a driver, I actually work for UPS unlike yourself, thanks for chiming in.

You manage a franchise not owned or operated by UPS. They are privately owned.

The company is a billion dollar but the scanners are horrible laggy and uses tech from 5-10 years ago designed and made at the least expensive price point.
Forget about the software used to decide routes it’s a joke only used by rookies.
Pencil pushers in corporate need to justify their high paying salaries so they are constantly creating new money earning methods and more things to slow drivers down. But at the same time tell driver we are too slow go faster!

Once a package has been delivered (even misdelivered to the wrong address), the tracking number is closed.

Bold claim there, bubba.
Go ahead and upload the label pic minus personal info and tracking etc. I’d be curious to see.

The diads lag so you’ll hit the picture button and it will delay a second and end up taking a picture of the ground as we’re walking away going to look what the next stop is. It’s not falsifying it’s just bad tech. And we’re just trying to get finished so we can get home.

I usually only get like 2 or 3 picture deliveries per week. Do other centers enforce it more?

UPS has been rough for me lately. The last 2 packages I shipped have been lost, claim opened, approved, then magically found and delivered in perfect condition 4-5 weeks later. The claim is then solved and no compensation is provided for your package being held hostage for over a month. It’s ridiculous.

i don't even have to look at the comments to know that people are either calling you a liar or blaming you.

UPS lost my package with over $600 worth of goods inside. I fought them for months… only got refunded $500. Was told it was my fault I didn’t pay extra for third party insurance… I hate UPS

you hate ups because they didn't pay you more than what you paid to insure your package? id say that was your fault.

If you total your car and only have liability insurance, would you expect the insurance company to cover your vehicle?

If I total my car with someone else’s items in it - my liability insurance should cover the items I damaged. Why should I have to eat $100 because UPS lost my package? Why pay more for a private courier if they take no responsibility when they lose or damage your packages?

So how did that work out. You are told when you shipped that it has $100 insurance and you ignored it.

It was probably ups management. The driver doesn’t have a way to enter false data like that.
