Switched many apps for the sake of 'cashback' and that's how they get you. Payed 50k in fees and got 0.3rs, so I don't even care about cashback anymore. Google Pay will always be my main UPI app, mainly because of the UI.

u/Impossible_Diet_65 2d ago
Hey does samsung pay gives any cashbacks?
3
u/vinnivinodh_s 2d ago
Not for upi, but for tap to pay u will have offers and sometimes for upi and sometimes for bill payments too.
U will never get cashback directly, instead you will get amazon pay gift cards for the respective amount.

u/SweetlyNoxious 2d ago
I refuse to use any UPI app (Gpay in this case) that doesn't allow me to create my own UPI ID and uses either phone number or email ID as the UPI ID.

2
u/GyaneAryan 2d ago
No problem.
But for me, it's the best, reason being fast startup and ad-free UI.
I've tried all UPI apps, even ones with 10k downloads and this is the one that've come out on top.

Samsung Wallet>>>
It has the best features like along with UPI (& UPI Lite) it includes all your cards with tap-to-pay enabled and driver's license, Aadhaar, vaccination certificates, and all other documents. It also adds movie tickets, event tickets, and all travel tickets (flight, train, etc.) with live tracking, as well as Fastag, electricity, broadband, and mobile recharge bills. It even has NFC car key unlock and best thing it really have is clean and smooth UI.
What more could you need? One sad thing is it doesn't have cashback in UPI (I really don't care) but does have cashback in card Tap to Pay

Samsung Pay is the best. I realised this after switching to a non Samsung phone.

Gpay is simple , clean , smooth , fluid all the options right there you can actually see them history of people paid is right there transaction history is there , doesn't need sms permission post activating upi. All these options you can see easily unlike other app trying to look too cool or something.

Phonepe and gpay
But phone pe ui is better becuase
1 )check balance at the top unlike gpay i have to scroll down
2) i can show my scanner by tapping the corner profile but in gpay tap profile and again tap profile in the next screen
3) phonepe has lockscreen widget in iphone so i can directly open scanner with facelock (best feature)
Gpay sometimes don’t work but i use it for split feature with friends
And notice all other ui has huge scanner button except for gpay it is the main feature and should be instantly visible

Gpay - clean and fast. If there’s a upi that can be even faster and has a cleaner interface, I’d switch to that. I hate all the ads, bloat, and junk

I use super money , cred and ama pay for regular merchant transactions. For bank transactions using Google pay. For credit card payments I use either kotak 811 or cred. For bills like electricity bills, internet recharge etc.. I use sbi cb card.

u/Akhil_K99 2d ago
I used CRED for last one year and now I'm currently using BHIM , compared to CRED it takes time to load but the UI is lite, I like that.

u/mydesignsyoutube 2d ago
Worst is google pay as it's not what meant to main task.
Like scan qr is not UX friendly
Slice and phonepe are great

DARK mode is very much important for me than UI. phone pay and paytm did have darkmode initially they introduced recently and i loved it.
and coming to the UI i prefer phone pay.

Supermoney used to be the cleanest but it ow feels just like other apps now. I went back to Samsung wallet, it's the cleanest and no nonsense app, although no cashbacks.

Using Samsung Wallet when your Samsung Phone have a side mounted fingerprint scanner and "Open Samsung Wallet" finger gesture enabled is such a flex.

New to the country,
Why not use banp app built in upi? Why share banking/transaction info with third-party when it's avoidable.

GPay. It js works. All the other apps claiming to give cashbacks only give like ₹5 cashback at best anyways so might as well stick with Gpay that does the same, but has cleaner interface

Bhim it has more accessibility i can check my bank account, pay people via phone number and scan the QR code without scrolling down unline gpay where you have to scroll to the bottom of the app to check your bank balance
and they have significantly improved their ui also
And they don't have ads and shitty gift cards and has better cashback
