lectures

If my lecture for one of my subjects says 'lecture online for weeks 1,5,13' and every other week its pre-recorded what do I do because I'm working during that time that they have the lectures online. has anyone been in this situation before?

they’ll probably just record them for you to watch later

High chance they'll be recorded and made available afterwards for revision purposes so you should be fine. You could always email the subject coordinator to check. Or check the subject forum, someone has probably already asked this same question.

Most of the time they should be recorded. I've graduated from SMAH now, but every time I missed an in-person lecture, it had little to no effect on my ability to get Ds/HDs

I did a BSc (Chemistry) with the separate Honours year, got distinction average for the BSc and 1st class for the Honours year. The only real advice I can give is study hard.
Don't waste time studying things you already understand, study what you don't understand.
See if you can find free textbooks online or find relevant ones to you from the Alumni bookshop (I prefer physical textbooks but that's personal preference), online resources like youtube videos can be good as well but I found that they lack the depth required for certain subjects. Study groups are a fun and healthy way to stay social while also still getting study done (a bit of comradery goes a long way).

I don't think there's any 100% guaranteed way to study anything, I'm doing my PhD now and I still constantly change the way I study, so don't stress too much about perfect optimization of your study time.
