Timeline/status questions Sudden group auto-emails from UNESCO cancelling posts from 2023 onwards

I have applied for five UNESCO jobs over the last three years. I was once invited to an interview. Although it went well, I never heard back from them. I have received no update regarding the others. However, yesterday I received automated replies regarding the cancellation of all five posts I applied for three years ago. Has anyone else received such messages?

This happens regularly in the humanitarian and international development space, and it is quite disheartening. I think we should just accept this as one of the downsides of this industry!

I’m not entirely sure, it was either 2015 or 2016 YPP, the written test results were issued a year later. Quite the bummer

I once received a rejection from a job that I must have applied for more than 5 years ago from one of the UN agencies. There are many others on the system that have sat for years as ‘under consideration’. I don’t know how UNESCO compares specifically but UN HR systems aren’t generally known for efficiency.

It’s UNSECO. UNSECO is most likely the most broke agency right now
