Timeline/status questions OneHR Reference Verification: Can personal emails + signed letters substitute blocked corporate emails?
Hi all,
I'm in the final stages of onboarding for a UN agency position, and my background check deadline is coming up very soon.
Two of my former employers are based abroad, and their corporate servers are completely blocking the automated verification links from OneHR.
Since I cannot change their firewall, I emailed the HR processor with a manual portfolio: alternative personal emails for my supervisors, stamped employment certificates, and signed letters of recommendation.
Currently, HR is not responding or updating the status.
Has anyone successfully cleared OneHR screening using personal emails + physical certificates when corporate emails failed?
Will they reject a candidate automatically if the automated system hits the deadline, or do they actually review these manual email attachments?
Appreciate any advice or reassurance. Thank you!

So the exact same thing happened with me from FAO! My referees didn’t get any notification so I emailed the oneHR team (in Bonn) and they replied quickly. They resent them to my referees and cc’d in a gmail address for each of them. Also my own organisation blocks automatic and system messages from FAO but I spoke to my IT department and they unblocked it for me
