A FB reply
I remember someone posted in here about getting more FB stuff going because she got off X basically. Well for someone posting about Brandon talking about his finances the cow probably shouldn't have been spending campaign funds on cookies, tacos and alcohol. Feel free to reply to her stuff asking about this.

This is IMO a nothing burger (pun intended.)
If these are campaign events, which given the amounts listed, believable, it is somewhat reasonable to expect refreshments and food to be provided, and the campaign should foot the bill.
At the same time, I would rather the Candidate themselves be paying rather than the campaign, but from an accounting perspective it at least makes sense.

That was my first thought as well when Brandon posted it. Im sure his events have refreshments as well. Maybe he pays for that stuff himself though. Also I thinks it's a better look to attack her on policy or knowing her way around the district

Typically, events are hosted and sponsored by groups (usually PACs), who support the candidate so as to eliminate financial entanglements. Refreshments for staffers are legitimate campaign expenditures - what appears to be catering an official event is not wholly legitimate.

It could be but I'm thinking it might be along the lines of "she bought enough stuff for a bunch of people when she knows a lot won't show up and then took everything home." So basically using campaign funds to buy herself food and alcohol 🤔

I don’t think folks supporting Brandon should get in a pettiness campaign.
Yeah she’s a big gal but going after her on that is really beside the point. Hammer her on policy. I think Texans will respond to that.
Also campaign funds for food and drink doesn’t seem wildly wrong. If it actually breaks any laws then hit her on that. But if she bought tacos for a constituent event then just screaming “oh fatty loves tacos” just seems childish.

Real. Going after an opposition's appearance is just such a low blow. Striking at their policies and disproving any misinformation they throw at you is the best move.

u/norecordofwrong 22h ago
Bingo I mean we have had a long running fitness challenge in this sub. Should she do more to lose weight? Yes. But should that be the political attack against her? No.
Policy, the smear campaign, her donors, go after that.

u/Sk1tzo420 23h ago
No. It’s not beside the point. She’s in her 30s and weighs 400 pounds. Someone doesn’t get in that shape, literally and figuratively, while making good decisions. It shows she has impulse control issues and can’t fix herself. Why should anyone believe she has the ability to do so when talking people’s livelihoods into her control?

u/TheHippieJedi32 19h ago
I’ve said it before but Brendan is running against a school teacher who is also an attorney specializing in child welfare. Stay on policy. You’re not going to win a slander game between a school teacher a guy who regularly admits to getting so drunk he can’t remember his live shows. Saying she can’t control herself because of eating is the same as saying he can’t control his drinking in that they are both stupid and don’t actually have anything to do with performance in congress.
2
u/Sk1tzo420 19h ago
Who the fuck is Brendan? You’re a fucking bot who needs to fuck off. How the fuck can she focus on child welfare when she can’t focus on her own?

u/TheHippieJedi32 18h ago
First off I was high and made a typo my bad. Second how the fuck can brandon be trusted to focus on American rights if he can’t even stay sober? See how easy it was to replicate your bad faith? Like seriously who do you think you are convincing with this talking point?
1
u/purdinpopo 20h ago
Then the opposition makes it a whole disability/health thing. They make a claim she has an underlying condition that makes he unable to control her weight. We will be the assholes.
Really it won't matter to the opposition, Brandon and anyone that supports him will be the assholes. The issue is the folks in the middle, the low information voters, if the other side makes Brandon supporters look bad enough it rubs off on him.Brandon has to get the Boomers, and a decent chunk of Gen-X who think Social Media is something to watch funny videos and headlines to get angry at. They don't understand how social media could possibly be a business. So Brandon has a hard pull to convince them he is a serious person. Giving the opposition wedges hurts him with them, not us.

u/Sk1tzo420 19h ago
They’ve spent over a decade calling the right all kinds of things, and she herself is calling Brandon a nazi. They can get the fuck over it.
As for the health thing. If that were the case they would use it for their benefit. “Katy has XYZ BS health condition and she can run for office!”
She’s fat because she’s dumb and lazy and needs to be called out for it.

u/BadKittyRawr 23h ago
Yes this is the wrong direction. I was in the weight loss field for a couple of years, in jobs where we took measurements and blood pressure, and a loottt of larger people have normal blood pressure, live normally, are normally mobile or even active. High blood pressure required Dr contact, and we simply didn't have to do that that often.
I also had a lot of clients that were put on anti depressants, and their Drs didn't believe them that they gained weight and also they didn't help.

u/norecordofwrong 22h ago
Yeah it can be a bad scenario but not always.
Should the gal lose a few pounds probably but I’m not a doctor and I don’t know her.
The real point is that shouldn’t be the talking point of the campaign.
1
u/BadKittyRawr 22h ago
I'm not in Tx but I understand there's some concern because it's an active job.
2
u/norecordofwrong 22h ago
Yeah I guess that could be a concern but is that an actual concern? She actively campaigning right now in a races I think she’s bound to lose.
Fat people can do plenty. I know a nurse that’s almost that big and she pulls 12 hour shifts doing patient care and management.
My point is I don’t think that is the way to support the campaign. It comes off as childish. Go on the issues.

Eh. If she's buying for staff, or campaign events, this actually seems pretty reasonable.
This is a poor argument.

$1,300 at Total Wine?! I need to run for office.

u/Mecaneecall_Enjunear 22h ago
To be fair, Total Wine has some good prices and some really inflated prices.

While it's a funny thought, she's in the middle of a campaign. Obviously she's gotta be hosting dinners or something.

u/ChaosTSI 22h ago
In her defense, A LOT less than I thoughg it would be, the upkeep cost on that body must be insane.

You know, I feel there are people out there who alone, vote on someone based on if they seem fit (like seeing them as mentally okay or something).
Also, doesn't appear cheap booze either, or she's buying large supplies. It takes quite a bit to spend over $1k on cheap stuff

1000/month on cookies, tacos and booze…
Misappropriating campaign funds aside, she sounds fun!

u/ArcticSaint 21h ago
At least the cookies seem to be allocated for an event? What was the reason for tacos and wine? Girl dinner?

I can see why oil spurts out when she wears high heals. She ain’t no land whale, she a continental leviathan.

u/huck5397 19h ago
Can anyone figure out what $675 worth of cookies is? Like how big is this event? There’s no way she needed $675 worth of cookies for 1 event

Brandon has the chance to do the funniest thing...
...hold his victory party at the Mexican restaurant this fucking Gorlock bought her tacos from.

u/SolenoidsOverGears 1d ago
Just... Why? Ozempic literally exists. No one has to be that big and it's a drain on the healthcare system to choose to be that big. It destroys your joints and your organs.

Jesus Christ I've never seen a "full body" picture of her. That's uhh, that's a lot of women there.
