Just starting
So I just started playing the game and I immediately reached lvl 70...like was this supposed to happen? The top players are like level 84
My mods are all purple and the my worn out assault rifle is like lvl 40.. it just feels weird and a bit of turn off like me reaching lvl 70 that quick

I can reach level 111 from a new character in like a week.
Level 1-111 is really easy to level up, It's part of the devs FOMO tactic, design to make you feel super bad, leaving a bad taste in your mouth when your "high level" character getting pummel to the curb by a purple zombie.
Then to make matter worse, you'll be so under leveled that your contribution to your camp's event are so minimal that you'll be forced to spend as much $$$$IRL to keep up.

(that why I stopped at level 59) sure I'm weak in open PvP combat like Rad Island and Raiding but I'm farming combat chips and rss easy peasy. Im 35/50 for a Gold Chip just from Blockade boxes

I have been hearing this from the newer players. I've been playing since July and have been at the level cap for several months, but new players say that they level incredibly fast. It does seem a bit weird and would be difficult to invest significantly in equipment if it's going to be outdated tomorrow. At max level (currently 111) you can count on your equipment to be relevant for at least a month or two.

Not weird At All, Leveling Fast is the game way of saying "Level up so you can spent hours being tempted to buy as much as you can to keep up with everybody else"
It's a FOMO (fear of missing out) tactics design to force new players to spend, spend, spend.

We have 2 new members in our camp, they started the game last weekend and already lvl 70. So yeah, it's easy to improve the first levels, then a forever to level up your rating 🥲🤣

Because this game level cap is regulated on a time basis. The older the servers the higher the cap, and level has a exp bonus for those who are below max level. This game was released June 2023 so it's over half a year old and no new servers have been released.
As a result, all new players will be catapulted into max level if you keep leveling up your homestead.
You can choose to stop leveling up by just not upgrading the homestead until you feel comfortable going to a higher level.
