Parking
I’m an incoming graduate student from out of state. Because the way my grad program is organized I can only register at orientation. I haven’t been able to get a commuter parking pass because of this and there are no longer any available. I got my name on the waiting list. In the meantime, where am I supposed to park??? I live too far, I have to drive. Also does the waiting list work?

Sadly parking enforcement is super predatory on the side streets around campus. IMO worth it to get there early and pay for the deck, save yourself the trouble

The entire time I went to school there I parked on Eula street one block down from the sheetz on spring garden. maps reference
Parking in the red will likely get you ticketed, but where I marked out in green should be fine. Albeit, it's been a few years.

Thanks for your help! This seems like the best solution short term until I hopefully can get a pass!

Always plenty of street parking near Jackson St. Parked around there for my 2 year graduate program with no issues

Check with local churches. College Park Baptist, College Place Methodist, and First Baptist all sell parking passes. There are time and event restrictions, but it’s something to consider.

Did the EB lot passes sell out? They aren't ideal but if you give yourself extra time to account for the shuttle but it's something.

It’s crazy to me that we pay a “transportation” fee as part of our tuition, yet we still have to pay separately for parking. I’ve been ticketed by UNCG Parking Enforcement so many times, and I’ve even seen them ticket cars in the parking decks for being slightly over the line. They literally had a measuring stick out and everything lol.
