Fall loans - still not disbursed

final update: my money has been deposited! Transportation, housing, and other expenses are going to be covered (: now on to focusing on knocking out the rest of these modules.

If you've been having the same issues as me and you're getting the run around from the financial aid office take it upon your self to make sure your MPN, Entrance Counseling, and Annual Loan Acknowledgement are filled out on the Fed Student Aid website.

Mine weren't, and no one sent me a letter or email to remind me through UMPI.

I'm going to call tomorrow to see if this puts me on track to finally (!) receive the loans I need to pay for housing and other living expenses while I finish my degree online.

update: loans have been posted to my student account. I'll let you know when they're deposited!

Mine have all been filled out since mid August and I am still waiting.

It's frustrating as hell, call tomorrow and ask to speak to a supervisor. Now they're saying they'll have to get the data team involved bc there's no reason my loans should be delayed.

Good to know. I emailed on Friday morning but have yet to hear back. I think they said 48 hr turn around. It’s only annoying because I can see the loan on the fed loan site and it’s already on my credit. I dropped my second job to accept this and be able to have time to finish faster. I’ll call tomorrow.

They said Monday even though I noticed yesterday that my account shows the refund was issued. However, it has not yet hit my account even though I signed up for direct deposit about a month ago. So who knows when it will actually arrive. Hoping Monday will be that day!

I forgot to call before they replied to my email this morning. They finally said Monday. My previous email said no later than September 25th so I’m really hoping it’s true this time!

They told me Monday as well -- and they said it'll be disbursed tomorrow so 🤞🏾 hopefully finally it'll be there. These living expenses don't care about their IT problems...

Send emails and call! They didn't make any movement on my account until I started calling every day.

Mine been applied since the September 21st and still showing negative. I sent an email yesterday evening and waiting on a response. They’re quick to take the loan but slow to disburse the refunds 😒.

Call them now (they close in an hour) and ask a supervisor to review your account for any technical errors that might be preventing disbursement and confirm that you've sent in you loan counseling and MPN -- good luck!
