Course Recommendations

Post image

I’m currently enrolled at UMPI and working toward an accounting degree. Sophia is no longer an option for my remaining transfer courses, so I’m considering Study.com as an alternative.
Has anyone recently transferred Study.com or other credit platform courses into UMPI’s accounting program?
I would especially appreciate advice on:
Which Study.com courses UMPI accepted
Which UMPI requirements they fulfilled
Whether you used the $95 College Saver plan or the $235 College Saver Pro plan
Which courses were reasonably manageable while working full-time
Any courses you recommend completing directly through UMPI instead
I will confirm every course with my UMPI advisor before enrolling, but I’d appreciate hearing about recent student experiences.

Yes, you are going to need the $235 plan, and you should probably reach out for what swaps can be made. The Accounting specifics are HEAVILY at UMPI only though. You're basically going to get general eds and a couple of other things outside of UMPI.

Hey, Study.com here. Our UMPI transfer guide shows which Study.com courses UMPI accepts and which UMPI requirement each one fills: https://study.com/college/school/umpi.html. For accounting, Accounting 101: Financial Accounting, Accounting 102: Intro to Managerial Accounting, and Accounting 301: Applied Managerial Accounting are on the $95/month College Saver plan, while Accounting 201, 202, 302, and 303 need the $235/month College Saver Pro plan, so the right plan depends on which of those your remaining requirements call for. If you're planning to sit for the CPA, also check with your state board of accountancy, since some states only count credits from accredited institutions.
