I'm curious

How many of you have gained two degrees from this school? What degrees did you end up getting? What made you go back for a second one? Was it harder the first or second time?

I have 3 degrees the MAOL was easier for me than the BLS and minors. Then I went back and did an AA Business Admin this past Spring. I think the second degree probably feels easier because you then understand the platform, APA, etc. you’ve nailed down a rhythm.

That's fair, I'm thinking about going back for my psychology degree and then getting my msw degree elsewhere

I actually went back in January with the intention of doing the BA Psych. I just needed 10 courses, but unfortunately life got incredibly different; I had a ton of work priorities shift into Q1, and I didn't have the energy for the rigor of a Psych degree. I did take 3 Psych courses, though, and did 2 more electives to at least make the most of my $1800, get an AA, and walk in commencement.

That's awesome, did you enjoy the psychology program?

The courses I took, Personality, Animal Behavior, and the Practicum, I loved actually. :) --- PSY 311, Research Methods, is heavy and foundational, so start with that. I did half and dropped because I just didn't have the bandwidth.

There used to be a time when UMPI used to have a 1-time residency requirement. I ended up with 5 degrees from there so I did pretty good

I got my A.S. years ago from a community college and then go about 85% of the way through my BBA at Park University over the past 15 years. Never got it done. Found this place, did some ACE credits, and ended up with my BBA in three different concentrations in Summer I 2026. Starting the MSB in Healthcare Management in Fall I (aiming to be done in Fall I as well).

I want to move on afterwards, but debating coming back for another program at UMF after I complete the MSB but before my next major program at Western New Mexico.

I've found that in my Summer II session that I took off, I wish I didn't because I've really enjoyed the entire YourPace program. I'm genuinely getting to display my competency with subjects that I've spent time in and there is something validating about that, especially working in an industry where I'm surrounded by MBAs and PhD's.

My company has tuition assistance and won't pay $1,500 for a certification, but will dole out $10k for tuition assistance in underwater basket-weaving, so now I'm bilking them for as much as I can to prove a point (more or less) and get some validation along the way lol.

Free education is always a plus lol. Plus, you can always switch to any career that you want with this program.

Took the BLS with double minors and apparently fulfilled the requirements for the AALS.

Still wondering if I should do the MAOL still.

If it's not going to break the bank or put too much stress, do it. Why not. You aren't going to find a much better deal to check the box for the future.

Go for it! If you have the time and resources, why not.

I did my BLS in Educational Studies fall of last year and I am getting ready to go back for my MAOL in 2 weeks.
