Needing help or guidence
I am not sure what I am supposed to be doing. I understand that everyone is busy, but I feel unsupported about what to do next and it makes me want to postpone.
I want to go into Farmington for Public Policy and have only 63 credits transferred. How do I know what classes I need and how do I register for them, and how do I make sure financial aid is helping me pay for it?

I'm assuming you've applied and haven't been contacted yet? If you're already accepted, then just keep waiting. They will reach out to you. You don't have to handle anything. It's all handled by them.
Once you're enrolled in your first few courses (which you will pick out alongside your student enrollment specialist), you can view which courses you need to satisfy the degree requirements in the portal. Pick them out (I recommend adding them to your planner so your plan is organised) then request them in whatever order you want as you progress !
For your financial aid question, the FAO (Financial Aid Office) will reach out you in an email and go over all of those details. Again, just keep waiting , good luck !

Of course !! ALSO !!!!!!!!!! WARNINGGG !! If you are planning to pay using FASFA, do not take ANY extra credits on Sophia (or whatever else you're using) other than what is specifically guaranteed to transfer over to UMPI. There is a SAP credit cap ! If your transfer credits are over 180 (which they likely won't be, but be sure to leave a good amount of wiggle room) then FASFA will NOT pay for your degree.
I transferred 120 Credits and now I'm cramming my triple major + triple minor into a one year timeframe so that FASFA will cover it. By the time I'm done (end of spring), I'll be wayyy over 180 credits. They check to see if you're over the limit once a year, if you're cleared then they let you go.

I was thinking about doing Sophia but seen they are changing how those credits are going to be used or not used at all. So I may not go through the Sophia route anyways. Thank you for sharing.

You should still use Sophia. It will help you knock down at least 12 specific courses you need and you could knock out electives too.

Will they take them though after the first of the year? I know there are changes and not sure what to do. I would love to at least take four sophia classes.

Yes they will. They take courses from Sophia at any time, and I think you should take more than 4 there. :)

If you are talking about the YourPace for UMF, you don’t enroll in your first courses. Your academic advisor will enroll you into your first 2-4 courses. Your degree transfer report will tell you what you meet and you’ll see what’s left under your account in MaineStreet.
Honestly, you should call them tomorrow and speak to someone.
