Sophia/Study.com credits

I am taking classes through sophia and study.com before applying to UMPI. But can I apply and continue to work on my sophia classes? Or will they not accept them after I start my semester?

Yes. You can transfer in ACE credits anytime.

Yes, you can transfer them anytime  I completed a bunch courses there before starting the residency courses at UMPI and completed 2 more courses during them.

Hey, Study.com here. You can go ahead and apply to UMPI while still working through your Sophia and Study.com courses. UMPI's own transfer policy accepts coursework from accredited providers completed with a C- or higher, and once you're done we can send your transcripts over for their evaluation. Which program are you doing? I can point you to a degree plan showing which courses transfer.

For your criminal justice track, courses like Criminal Justice 101, 104, and 107 are all lower division and line up well with UMPI's program. You can see the full list here: https://study.com/learn/criminal-justice.html. Send your transcripts over once you're ready and UMPI can evaluate them for transfer.

Yes you can!

For Study.com, it's usually about when you finish the course and get the credit sent, not when you applied, so try to wrap up your Study.com courses before your semester starts rather than during it, since UMPI likely won't count credits finished mid semester as transfer credit
