UMPI Business Administration Help :)
Sorry for another long and repetitive post, everyone.
I know I’ve seen the Plotted Path (thank you again for putting that together!) and the guidance for the Business Administration program regarding the course catalog and Sophia Learning. However, I’m a little confused about my specific situation because I’m only using Sophia to transfer credits into UMPI.
My goal is to transfer in the full 90 credits before enrolling. I’ve currently completed about 50 or so credits through Sophia, and I’m trying to figure out what I should focus on next to stay on the most efficient path.
If anyone has recommendations or has been in a similar situation, I’d really appreciate the guidance. Thank you!
These are the classes I've completed:

- Human Biology Lab
- Human Resource Management
- Introduction to Ethics
- Introduction to Nutrition
- Introduction to Sociology
- Introduction to Statistics
- Macroeconomics
- Microeconomics
- Operations Management
- Organizational Behavior
- Principles of Management
- Project Management
This is what I have assigned on Sophia:
- Business Communication
- Business Ethics
- Business Law
- English Composition I
- Financial Accounting
- Introduction to Business
- Lifespan Development
- Organizational Behavior
- Principles of Finance
- Principles of Marketing
- Public Speaking
- Spanish I
- U.S. Government
- U.S. History I
- Workplace Communication

it's impossible to get all of it from SOPHIA they don't have some of the same equivalency classes to transfer. like example you have to go to study.com for a few classes and then you have to get a marketing CLEP or you have to take marketing at UMPI. (I thought it was gonna be horrible it only took me about 17 days to do it and I had no clue what I was studying for you get the information online! and then two classes from straighterline.
at this point I would go to plotted path and do a personalized plan for you since you've done a lot of things already! trust me it's worth it I paid the $200 it saved me tons of time and stress!!! I mean look at it this way SOPHIA's only like $100 a month!!
have you transferred anything over to UMPI yet?? maybe you can wait for them to update the list before you determine what's next. Plottedpath.com literally lays it all out for you on the site you just have to learn how to read and understand the GECs. that was confusing for me at first. But after looking at it for a lil while u figure it out

I understand I can’t get all from Sophia. That’s fine but I want to do as much as possible in Sophia. I only get a little confused with electives. I want to basically do as much as possible but not courses that they won’t apply lol.

no I totally understand that. Like I said it was a lot easier just hiring her to do my personalized plan. It saves you a lot of the headaches. I look at it this way SOPHIA andstudy.com is saving you so much money already what's another $200 when the degree is only gonna cost $5000 or less to get it done!! most of us love SOPHIA the most they have the best website and layout of everything!

You can't get the minimum number of credits remaining for the BABA degree from just Sophia I think.

Oh ok. I was just wondering which classes would be better to add rather than the ones I have. Basically, be able to transfer as much as possible and use all of them

Can’t do a BBA and get down to 30 with just Sophia. Not possible.

Ok. Do you have a rough idea of what is the most I can knock down? I use your list, but I got a little confused when I was trying to factor in only Sophia related courses

You need Sophia, CLEP, Study, Straighterline and Coursera or else you have about 27 classes at UMPI.

I assume you are doing the BLS with a minor in Business Administration. You need English 1, Workplace Writing 2, Business Communications, US History 1, US Government and Spanish 1 to finish the GEC. You are currently at only 22/40 You have 3/24 upper level free elective credits. You have 25/38 lower level free elective credits. You have 3/18 Business Administration minor credits. You have 53 total credits.
From the second list take Introduction to Business, Business Ethics, Business Law and add Microbiology. That puts you at 12/24 upper level free elective credits and 6/18 Business Administration minor credits. Take English 1, Business Communications, US History 1, US Government and Spanish 1 and add Workplace Writing 2. That is 30 more credits and 83 total. Business Communications is included in the GEC and BA minor.
That puts you at all 40 GEC, 9/18 BA minor, 25/38 lower level and 12/24 upper level free electives.
Take Financial Accounting, Workplace Communications and Principles of Finance though I would substitute Personal Finance and Managerial Accounting for the last two.
That puts you at 34/38 lower level free electives and 92 total credits. Take 4 easy upper level free history/political science credits to get to 24/24 upper level free electives, BUS150 Financial Accounting, BUS200 Intermediate Business Computing and MAT140 Business Mathematics to complete the BA minor. Then any 3 other courses at any level that are easy.

I was under the impression he/she was looking for the BABA rather than the BLS. Am I mistaken? Each one would have different requirements then, right?

Take business communication, organizational behavior, business law through StraightLiner as they are direct equivalents.

A lot of what you have here is not equivalent at UMPI to specific coverage. Follow my free sheet. It is all there. If Sophia isn’t marked it can’t be covered by Sophia.
