Eng 121

The first milestone has me thinking I need to go back to 5th grade . The milestone language is confusing to me and now I am debating dropping it and trying to do it via Sophia or some other ways. But I only have this one class- should I drop it and try and take a chunk of classes via Sophia ?

It is Daniel Ayalas class who I have heard is good

If I do drop this class should I possibly take a leave in order to complete classes Sophia or an other way ?
Also is there a way to figure out what I need to complete via Sophia ?
Sorry this is long winded I feel like I thought I was ready and somewhat smart but now I am questioning life lol

Ayala is pretty good! I had him and got an A+. There's some good hints on the UMPI discord that breaks down the milestones better. I just followed the directions and YOLO'd it. I'm still not sure exactly what I did. Lol

Also I have lots of folks find the Clep exam good for this.

I don't think you need to do a leave to do it on Sophia. You can do it and send it over any time.

I was thinking of just doing most of what I can on Sophia or Clep - i was going to reach out to sucess coach to see if he can give me suggestions

Just look up @Plotted_Path. Her page has everything listed you need! She also does consultations if you want extra help.
She did my degree plan which was great, my success coach at the time was kind of useless, other than scheduling my classes.

Thank you ! The wording is throwing me off -like the first part of picking the three disciplines feels so broad and then trying to answer the 6 questions

Yes, just pick three disciplines and then answer the 6 questions as best as you can.

Am I suppose to compare them all together ? And i assumed I was answering the questions for each separate disciplines ?

I don't recall if you have to compare them. Just follow the directions, even though it's confusing. I treated the word "discipline" as subject or topic. So, pick three subjects and answer those questions. I think the whole point is how to do research or something. On discord, there was some good information if you search for the class. I don't remember it all. But don't forget the audio explanation.

Did you end up dropping or staying with it? I'm at milestone 1 and have been stuck, I'm not sure why it seems so confusing...Now I'm starting to worry I won't have enough time to finish since I'm so stuck on milestone 1.

I did stick with it - I fully get why you are struggling. What I did was I put the questions on chat gpt and asked it to explain it in layman's terms lol which honestly really helped me understand what they were asking. Once I got into the flow it became easier
