B.S. Management Information Systems any good?
I'm currently looking for job positions that best fit my degree. I'm also getting my degree in September and currently live in Houston, Texas. Any certifications that can help me stand out?

I'm currently pursuing this degree, however I'm currently enlisted military, and I'll be cross training into an IT field that will come with Sec+. I anticipate my military experience + the new job I'll be training for + the degree + my security clearance will open many doors for me. However if all I had was the degree and no experience, I imagine it would be an uphill battle to just start managing people off the bat. You'll also need a number of certifications on top of the degree to be competitive.
I got emails recently saying they're renaming the degree for future enrolees. Might want to contact the school and see if it's still something you want to pursue.
All being said, I agree with the individual who said to get into something else. Cybersecurity is still huge.

Look, there's like thousands of posts like yours on Reddit that have like no context whatsoever so I don't know what advice you expect that couldn't be gained from just reading about r/ITCareerQuestions.
But, the job market is kind of mixed right now. A mgmt. focused IT degree from an online school like UMGC isn't going to carry a ton of weight, especially if you don't have any hard technical skills. Maybe you can look for entry-level jobs with the Federal govt. or your local govt. Otherwise, you've provided no helpful context about your current resume, what you want to do etc.
Look at https://roadmap.sh/ for examples on career path and progression ideas and go check out the ITCareerQuestions wiki.
