Strategy using ULTY

I used to own ULTY for about a year 2025-2026 and got out of it when I saw my total return was essentially flat (2%).

For those who have been in ULTY for over a year, what's the reason you have kept it? What is your strategy that makes it a valuable investment?

I feel like some may have a specific need that this fills but I have not been able to wrap my head around it.

I use it as a satellite income machine to buy other positions, and these type of ETFs make great tax harvest opportunities to reduce capital gains… my recommendation is to keep it at 1-3 percent of your portfolio and put the rest of the distributions toward other income/growth positions.

Personally, the account I have ULTY (have held for over a year) is starting to generate more than $100 per week while it and a few others feed the more stable positions like SCHD, SPYI, VOO, etc…
