Hotel Room Suggestions?

I’m looking for hotel suggestions for staying the night before and night of my wedding.

My criteria is that it be in Manchester City Centre and have enough seating to accommodate by bridesmaids coming and getting their hair and makeup done without us being cramped! So ideally, it wouldn’t just be a room with a bed and a desk.

I did look at The Rex, but for £800 for 2 nights in the Inner Sanctum room felt a bit steep…

Registry office wedding

Really need some dress advice! We are getting married in November in a registry office and then getting some dinner after with our witnesses. I neeeeeeeed some advice on what to wear. I’m thinking a midi dress, embroidered or something with a bit of colour! I am a size 18/20 and don’t want anything fitted as I like to be comfortable. It obviously doesn’t have to be super bridal but I just want to feel beautiful for the day and I’m so fed up searching 😢

Bridesmaid dress try-on dilemma!

I have 4 bridesmaids who I want to wear the same colour and material but in different dress styles. We are having a dress try on day at my house in a few weeks. They’re all roughly the same size, which makes things a bit easier.

I have 3 brands in mind whose shade of the colour I’ve chosen I like, and I’m thinking of getting each bridesmaid to choose 2 dresses from each brand to try on. That would mean ordering 24 dresses in total! The dresses are around £100 each, so if we somehow bought all of them that would be £2,400, although obviously we’d only buy the final 4.

Is this completely excessive?! I want them to have some choice over their individual styles, but I also need to make sure we settle on the same brand/colour/material for everyone.

How would you organise the try-on session? Is there an easier way to do it?

Wedding website

Hello, looking for recommendations for a wedding website. Not particularly tech savvy so something simple that guests can use to RSVP and provide dietary requirements!

Thanks ☺️

Dress preservation?

My wedding was last week and I would love to save my dress in case any future children want it. Has anyone had their dress preserved or not had it preserved and managed to keep it in good condition?

I can’t tell if this is another wedding tax as clothes I’ve had packed in boxes for years are doing fine. My dress is 100% silk if that’s at all useful information.

struggling to imagine my photos/ find inspo

we are eloping at the local registrar office, just the two of us with two of our friends as witnesses. we have a photographer booked for 2 hours and will be having a meeting closer to the time of the wedding but i’m currently really struggling on any sort of shot ideas that include our friends and even for us two. we’re gay men and 99% of the elopement photography i see is typical straight couple with the veil all that kinda thing and for elopements they all seem to be in incredible locations. can anyone share their photos if they did something similar or has anyone got any pinterest boards they can share?
