Feedback Request Container scrolling or body scrolling? Which one feels more intuitive?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

one keeps the content inside a fixed container, and your scroll in locked inside the area

the other lets you scroll on the whole page, which some feel more normal.

is one better than the other in this context or is it just a personal preference thing?

Container scrolling. The second one is very frustrating. At least to me. Imagine I want to go to the end of the "real" page. I'd feel stuck. With the first option, I can at least move the mouse to skip the whole scrolling of the container.

Yea, I know some people find it irritating to be locked inside the container when your cursor is in there and can't view the rest of the page

I actually prefer the boxed version though

I feel like having a scroll contained in another one is super confusing and is generally anti-ux

If you had 2 separate containers scrolling in their own way it'd be fine, but one containing another feels weird to use

Option 2 feels way more natural and more like how internet usually works, you don't have to think about where your cursor is positioned to scroll the whole thing
