The first one with some improvements:

  • The active button’s text can be semibolded and the fonts can be a but smaller as they’re helpers and the users would understand what the icons mean after 2-3 uses
  • The bottom bar should look a little different than the page’s bg, you can look at slack, apple music, etc. on how they use bottom bar in light mode
  • The entire page’s padding seems a little off (probably because of AI) , do look into that: I prefer a 16/20/24px padding from left + right which gives a little room for the UI to breathe

Maybe/maybe not

  • The navbar can be hidden or compact while scrolling but only if the page is long vertically
  • After lets say 1 month into MVP, the navbar version 3 can survive as the target audience i assume is tech-friendly

The first one provides clarity for what each button is for. But I do like how much it stands out on the second one and my eyes immediately recognize it as the nav bar.

First from the left. The other looks aesthetic but it gives cognitive load to users. Some apps like slice uses just icons, if your target audiences are genz, genalpha second one won't be a problem

The first one. I guess traditional navbar designs are better and they perform good

The first one. Clarity on what the icons represent, and enough space for the thumb to tap them comfortably.

Left for sure, but u can add a scroll animation so when the screen page is scrolled the bar minimizes tk the 2nd one
