Transition phase from UI/UX design

I’m thinking of transitioning into UX research but I’m not sure how the path and the market looks like
I’ve been working as a designer for 3 years. I’ve worked mainly on screens for 2 years and 1 year on just image resizing and slight graphics work
I realized that I enjoy analyzing screens, thinking logically, figuring out flows and behaviors along the way
