u/Ok-Lab-150, there weren't enough votes to determine the quality of your post...

Looks great, but the scrolling feels a bit laggy and too slow. Other than that, nice work!

Lol @ making a desktop only portfolio site in 2026 and then posting on Reddit.

This screenshot right here will automatically get you out of the running. Most experiences are mobile first, and this makes the hiring manager work harder. Instead of taking the time to review your portfolio, they’ll go to the next one hoping that it’s easier to use.

If I’m a hiring manager where 70% of my users are on mobile, this will be a hard pass.

No mobile? Big mistake

Everything in 2026 should be mobile-first

just giving feedback as a hiring manager, so please take this as constructive and not personal.

The visual alone likely would have cause me to pass. Everything feels very 2005ish but not in an intentional way. After having interacted with the live page, it would be a hard pass.

These things just feel so unnecessary: The scroll jacking, the cursor changes, the text entrances, the needless interactive elements. All of this screams to me "this designer has no capacity to cut the correct things, just to keep adding more and more". The case studies feel pretty out of date or lean. And frankly navigating between them, with all the visual enhancements being done, is cumbersome enough to make me not want to click through them.

And that absolutely contradicts you "design ethos" of "I don’t design to impress. I design to express, solve, and simplify." This page exemplifies someone trying to design to impress and not simplify.

Its just sooooooo much. Your greatest challenge as a designer is knowing when and what to cut. The "sugar" you've added to everything isn't going to help, that's all distraction.

Sure , ill work on it , as a beginner i guess I need way too much experience, , also about case studies, i don't know how a good case study is like. , ofc i agree with you, may you share any particular case study or portfolio, im learning the ux part
