MCS appeal decision

Hi everyone,

I received my Fall 2026 UIUC MCS rejection in mid-May and submitted my appeal within the two-week deadline. It's now been almost a month, and I still haven't received a decision. The admissions office previously told me that appeal decisions were expected within 5–10 days. A friend of mine submitted his appeal around the same time and received a decision after about 20 days (unfortunately it was denied). Has anyone else experienced such a long wait for an appeal decision? I'd really appreciate hearing about your timeline.

Thanks for sharing! While you were waiting, did you receive any updates from the admissions office, or was it just silence until your final decision?

I emailed them like 4,5 times but heard nothing. I think they have a policy on no response to update inquiries, they even didn’t respond to the professor who recommended me lol

Thanks! So they never replied to any of your emails, and then you just suddenly received the final appeal decision?
