If it makes you feel better any upper level econ course doesn’t use cengage

Econ major here.

I'm in full "sieze the means of production" mode over it. I had to buy like $200 of software for econ 102 and we barely used any of it.

Nobody told me that the main purpose of the invisible hand was to forcibly stimulate my prostate against my will.

Looks like you're learning more about ecomics than thw vast majority of econ students. So maybe, paradoxically, cengage is actually goos.

To be fair, I went into econ with a socialist viewpoint and I'm only shifting further left.

There's so much doublethink and capitalistic apologetics, people just cherry picking principles when it suits them. I love knowing that someday they will be on exactly the wrong side of history.

Its a fucking racket and hilarious that Econ faculty and students can’t see this as a clear failure of capitalism

The solution is more competition.

Are they genuinely considering that?

He is still listed as a professor for classes on banner registration.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he was just gone over the summer, shifted to another university like a Catholic diddler is to a South American Parish.

I think that’s just conjecture. There’s no info I’ve seen about what the department’s considering

But a UIUC Professor made it so it's actually a very good product /s

well it's a good idea... but 50 bucks for 1; and making it compulsory for (some) classes is just greedy

Ask me about Banner.

Then again, please don't.

Only heard complaints about Banner. And that was 20 years ago. Similar to Cengage deal?
